Crafting Bytes was founded by three close friends who share a passion for software development done right. The team loves working together solving hard problems using modern technology.

Ike Ellis

With 17+ years of experience in databases and a current Microsoft MVP, Ike has been Microsoft certified since the beginning, currently holding an MCDBA, MCSE, MCSD, and MCT. Ike is currently the principal SQL Instructor and SQL Course Author for DevelopMentor. In 2010, Ike founded the San Diego Tech Immersion Group (SDTIG). It has grown to be the largest user group in San Diego with over 100 active members including three other Microsoft MVPs. He’s also the Chapter Lead for SQL Pass Book Readers. In March 2015, he co-wrote “Developing Microsoft Azure Solutions” for Microsoft Press.  In 2014, he co-wrote “Database Performance Tuning Tips and Tricks.”  His articles have appeared in TDWI, CIO Insider, and Developments.   He has spoken at global conferences such as TechEd, SQLPASS, and SQL in the City.

Scott Reed

Scott Reed has 20+ years experience developing software. Scott’s career in software began in 1993 at IBM. Along the way he developed enterprise solutions for Microsoft and Cardinal Health. Scott specializes in software architecture and agile development, where he has been involved in designing web services and cloud-based solutions. He is active in the .NET community, and is frequently called on to speak. Scott teaches classes at UCSD Extension. He is the chairman of the San Diego .NET Architecture Group.

Brad Cunningham

Brad has been a Microsoft MVP for C# since 2010. Brad has 15+ years of industry experience developing a wide range of desktop and web based applications for many different industries. Brad is a regular speaker at SoCal code camps and various San Diego user groups. Brad is also an adjunct professor of C# at the UCSD Extension. Brad is the co-chairman of the San Diego Tech Immersion Group. Along with Ike and Scott, Brad also helps to run the SQL Pass Book Readers group.
